Weebly.com features my professional portfolio. The URL to my portfolio is nerinevillagomez.weebly.com. With Weebly I have created a website which allows me & anyone accessible to a computer the ability to read my resume in my portfolio. With it being on-line any employer can view all my experiences and skills. Creating a professional portfolio with technology makes it easier to update and saves time. This was an enjoyable experience and this website is very easy to handle.
Jumpcut.com features my groups’ infomercial/commercial. You can preview our jumpcut or published version down below but the version we prefer is on Maria T’s computer. The only difference would be the text that is beneficial to the infomercial. Overall, this experience was engaging and working together one last time was fun but the editing and uploading process gave us issues.
I hope you like our movie, Enjoy!
*Update*
The movie is unavailable due to the closure of the site. ~ Thank you for your understanding

Presentation Reflection
I learned from completing this assignment the history of m-learning (mobile learning) and the other various learning environments that takes place outside the classroom [d-learning (distance learning) aka on-line and e-learning (electronic learning)]. I also found out the numerous mobile tools and its contribution to learning. I think that the new generation of knowledge can be obtained not only in the classroom but in many forms such as mobile learning. The things I would do differently next time around would be to have more confidence presenting and not be so nervous so I can go at a steady pace. I would also fix my last slide so everyone can hear my song at the end. Another thing I would change is the connection (globe) so that everyone can see my presentation. This form of learning will be useful in a classroom curriculum because of its interactions with the student/instructors and among each other, portability using it anywhere and at any time, collaborative efforts at a distant location, engaging learners by its new age style, increase motivation through ownership of device which in turn add to commitment to using and learning from it, bridging the digital divide from larger systems to more affordable ones, just-in-time learning increases performances and relevance to the learner and may assist learners with some disabilities. These all will contribute to the classroom curriculum and learning through a new generation and style.

HAPPY FEET on RockYou.com
The group and I presented our slideshow on RockYou.com with the story based on the movie Happy Feet. The pictures of the penguins were from the internet but the background was illustrated and painted by me (Nerine) with the help of my trusted partners. It turned out to look so real. The process was long and time consuming but all in all fun. I think the easiest part was taking pictures of our artwork. The girls made it a hang out event at my house. Maria took control of the editing process on our slideshow which includes adding the sound effects, the glitters in the pictures, and the captions. She also went further and explored the site for other features and she couldn’t stop laughing at her creations. I can’t wait to use this in my classroom and see all the interesting stuff my students can come up with. This site deserves 9 out of 10.

SHAPING HISTORY: WebQuest
The group I am in is called Malorine and the WebQuest we made is about the CNMI Governors (past and present leaders) Shaping History. In this inquiry-oriented activity we provided links necessary to complete the quest. I enjoyed working in my group and doing this activity with them. Although, we did have a hard time in the editing process and had to create a new account to finish this project, I would still apply this form of activity into my lesson. As a culminating event which will be a wrap up of all the lessons taught about our leaders (past and present). I rate this site 6 out of 10 due to our complications.

DIGITAL Scavenger HUNT
Eloise and I were grouped together to do this task. The objective was to be paired up or in group of three to find items on the list within campus grounds and take pictures with the digital camera. I found the task of finding the items on the list challenging yet exciting. We got some very funny pictures. I would enjoy implementing this into my classroom as an extension activity. This was a really great activity.

ON-LINE Word Processing
Thinkfree - online word processing software that has many features such as invite people (collaborate – share, edit, and create), generate tasks and issues, and comment on those issues within the task to name a few. As a group we rate it a 9 out of 10. It can also create folders which keep teachers organize. It could be used in classroom management. Have the students use this software to discuss their issues about a problem or about a project.

TIMELINE
Mnegraph was the software we used in class to create a timeline. I was extremely upset and PO about the whole experience. I think the easiest thing that I did regarding this was opening an account. I rate it 1 out of 10. I would not use this application in my classroom until I can further find out how to use the basic functions. If I had a hard time accessing it, can you imagine the frustration it will have on my students. I prefer not to aggravate them with something that is not easily accessible. I would challenge them but not this painful.

To BLOG or not to Blog?!
The blog you are viewing now which I created is a great way for others to access my opinions about things and check up on my daily accounts. Using a blog in my classroom can open many possibilities. I can broaden my student’s capacity with technology by allowing them to write in their blogs and letting them peer review each one. Giving them the opportunity of other sources of communication will be allowing them to see what is actually out there in the world. I don’t want to be hindering them by not giving the chance to at least try it in a safe environment. If my class has a computer center, I would make a blog part of a special project (ex: what I want to be when I grow up, science project, social studies project, journal writing, etc.) and allow my students to input their writing assignments on to it.

WeB FloW CharT
The application we used was called Mind 42. This software has the ability to make flow charts that can be beneficial to many people in the workforce. My group in particular did not favor this application due to the fact that it was hard to function. I rate it 2 out of 10, because it does make a flow chart and allows us to put needed information into it but it is hard to utilize. I would use flow charts in teaching practices but not this particular software. I think I am better off using Microsoft Office because it is reliable and accessible.

Here and Now
Hello everyone, for all of you that don’t know me by now my name is Nerine Villagomez. I am currently taking the last four classes in the Bachelor’s program for Elementary Education here at NMC. I am taking this course to enhance my knowledge in education technology and also because it is a requirement for this major. Within my second week in this class, I learned how to create a blog. As of now, this is the highlight of the week. What I hope to acquire by the end of the semester, is everything and anything Mr. Jenkins provide for us (me and my fellow classmates) to learn. I am just really excited to be in this class. :)
